The centre of the country is dominated by the predominantly flat Chao Phraya river valley, which runs into the Gulf of Thailand. The south consists of the narrow Kra Isthmus that widens into the Malay Peninsula.

The Andaman Sea is regarded as Thailand's most precious natural resource as it hosts the most popular and luxurious resorts in Asia. Phuket, Krabi, Ranong, Phang Nga and Trang and their lush islands all lay along the coasts of the Andaman Sea.

Thailand is a perfect dive destination for beginners and professionals. Phuket, Krabi, Ko Samui, Ko Pha Ngang and Pattaya are perfect for beginners. If you want to experience something more you should visit Trang region, Similan Islands and Surin Islands which offer better diving, with better visibilities and better coral and marine life.
